Westminster Abbey Cathedral in London had its many statues removed for cleaning. When taken out of the tight porticos where they’d rested for centuries, the workers made an astonishing discovery. These statues were complete... the backs of every statue had been carved just as meticulously as the front. Clearly the sculptors were thinking about more than just impressing people that would view the statues. What a picture of living our lives to a standard of excellence that’s above and beyond the visible - the here and now and just impressing those around us. Your integrity is what you are when no one is looking. The quality of our families relates to the integrity we express by how much we prioritize, think of and are faithful to our kids and our spouses when no one else is looking - whether it's on a business trip, the internet or how we use our words. Like those sculptors, we will leave a legacy if we can carve excellence into our whole lives, especially in our families.
