Transcript It is so important to build into our loved ones a sense of value and worth, especially if you have young teens in your home. Author and speaker Gary Smalley captivated a huge audience one night when he held up a $50 bill and asked, "Who would like this? Who wants this $50 bill?" Hands went up all over the auditorium. "I am going to give this $50 bill to someone, but first let me do this!" Then he proceeded to crumple it and throw it on the floor. "Who still wants this?" Hands were still in the air. Smalley then stepped on the money and began to smash it. He asked again, "Who still wants it?" as hands were raised all over the auditorium. "No matter what I do to this money, you still want it because it won’t decrease in value." Many times in life we’re dropped, crumpled, even stepped on. We may feel worthless, but we never lose our value. Don’t forget how valuable you are, and how much of an impact you make on how your kids and spouse feel about themselves. |
