Transcript Training camp in the NFL is tough work. It’s also a time of transition - mixing new players with older and traded players. In training camp the coach’s goal is to turn them into a cohesive unit with the ability to execute hundreds of plays and handle thousands of situations. Sounds complex doesn’t it? Well the common strategy of training camp is to focus on and build upon the basics - the fundamentals. And it’s actually the same with family. None of us should be shocked by the transitions within family and we need to remember that none of us are perfect. We don’t need to be. This is why we need to constantly remember to focus on the basics: serving and caring for each other, spending time together and communicating in respectful ways like saying "I’m sorry" when we lose our temper. The basics start with one thing: honor - valuing each person in the family and committing to be a supportive team for one another.
