Transcript As a QB with the Philadelphia Eagles I was put into a game in the second half, trailing 10-6. Driving down field, my team had an opportunity to score but were facing a third down and the defense called an all-out blitz. While dropping back to pass a free charging defensive back dove right at me and I couldn’t see a thing. But because of preparation I anticipated and threw to the spot where I envisioned my tight end would be. Without seeing each other he caught the pass and scored the winning TD. The pressure of a “blitz” is similar to what our kids are feeling today - peer pressure, counterfeit media messages and exploitive advertising. But the answer is not just to block these blitzes, it’s having a positive play - a vision for healthy relationships, sexual integrity and strong marriages. Families Northwest paints a positive picture of healthy family, supporting single parents, honoring mothers, and promoting fatherhood. |
