Transcript
Years ago in a major metropolitan city a mother brought her young son to a piano concert by the internationally-renowned Innes Paderewski. The thoughtful mother was hopeful that by exposing her son to one of the world’s greatest pianists, he would catch a vision and adopt a desire to actually practice and become an accomplished pianist. Before the concert began the mother was sidetracked by a conversation as the boy slipped down the aisle, onto the stage and sat down at the beautiful Steinway. He began to plink out chopsticks. The crowd was appalled. They began to boo and complain. But before the precocious boy stopped, the master - Paderewski - rushed on stage to take his place at the piano. Reaching around the boy he whispered, “don’t stop!” He then majestically turned the simplicity of the little boy's tune into beautiful music before the hushed audience. Who’s counting on you to come alongside and encourage?
