Transcript
Success is not solely measured by championships, losses, comebacks and fame. Years ago Juanita and Michael Jordan filed for divorce. Even Michael Jordan, America’s basketball and marketing king, appeared to be heading for a broken marriage. A headline at the time read, "Hey Michael! How about one more comeback? Save your marriage." Unlike many American idols and celebrities, Jordan demonstrated a strong commitment to hold his family together. He declared that he and his wife would work on their marriage, and make their kids the focus. America doesn’t need perfection or air-brushed views of success. We need the character and commitment to love our families. Because as marriage goes so goes the family; and as family goes, so goes the kids. Loving our kids and providing the best possible future for them will take a championship effort to build healthy, life-long marriages, and save the struggling ones.
