Transcript A couple of years ago in the Northwest a 6.8 earthquake shook us for about 45 seconds. Immediately, phone service was jammed as husbands and wives called to check in with each other. Moms and dads, like me, drove to schools to find out if their kids were okay, and my hugs were needed. Radios tuned in and we heard from a woman who described how she was under a table with other employees. They were crying, yelling and praying out loud as the ceiling and walls disintegrated around them. An obviously shaken city councilman went on the air later that day and talked about his plan to get home so that he could kiss and hug his kids. Natural disasters and problems bigger than us often bring us to our priorities - our families and our loved ones. Here’s a little reminder on a day with no earthquakes: to keep our family priorities at the forefront of our lives, even when the earth doesn’t shake.
