The good 'ol days... the happy days... what were they really like? Author and speaker Chuck Snyder recounts what life was like in the 50’s when he got married. There were no books or resources on marriage and family. About a month after he and Barb were married, she got sick and began eating crackers and pickles... before she got up in the morning. When she gained a little weight he thought she should see a doctor about a diet plan. But surprise! She was pregnant! Babies, Chuck laughs, “just happened back then.” Barb went through 30 hours of labor by herself because back then husbands couldn’t be with their wives; they had to wait and worry in waiting rooms until a nurse came and brought the good news. Today, husbands and wives go through each step of the pregnancy and birth together. And we have many more resources and education available to build a growing marriage and anchor your kids and family.
