Transcript
Early in our marriage we struggled and a lot of it was because I was clueless about understanding and loving my wife. But we got some really needed help on the path to a more peaceful and happy marriage from expert Gary Smalley. One of his great strategies, guys, is for husbands to tap into the “built-in relationship monitor” in every marriage - our wives. His research has found that when it comes to relationships, the wife, more or less, “gets it.” His advice and strategy is for husbands to ask their wives, “Rate our relationship on a scale of 1 to 10.” Now instead of reacting or showing frustration, ask “what would it take to make our marriage a 10?" Good things unfold as a woman is heard, honored and understood. A man that has a plan to intentionally grow their love and strengthen their relationship is a man on his way to a great marriage.
