Eric: Not all of us are working to keep our marriages a high priority.
Divorcee: "If there was a game on, any sport, if the television was on and the husband was sitting in front of the T.V., I couldn't talk to him. Honey? ARRRRGGHHHH!! I'd get alot of that."
Eric: Jeff Kemp is the director of Families Northwest; tragically, Jeff, I interviewed that gal after her divorce.
Jeff: In reality, no marriage is easy! But a good marriage is worth every bit of effort that a couple puts into it. But what makes our marriages better? Well, the best marriages don’t stay the same. They grow more meaningful and romantic. These are couples who’s eyes, ears, and attention turn to one another, especially when talking. They practice meaningful touch daily. A soft touch on the shoulder, or a warm hug, or a kiss before you leave in the morning. These are powerful marriage builders that can melt mountains of tension between you and your spouse. So how about it? Isn’t a great marriage worth paying some special attention to our spouses? |
