Have you sat down and discussed a future plan for your family? Here’s a question to think about and ask yourself and your spouse: "What’s the secret to a family’s success?" Cheryl Gochnauer, author of "So You Want to Be a Stay-at-Home Mom," quit a full-time job in 1994 to stay at home and raise her two girls. Cheryl says after crunching the numbers and discussing what kind of family lifestyle they wanted, she realized that the dollar value of one of their paychecks, when compared with the expenses, was considerably less than her family thought. After subtracting transportation expenses, childcare, meals, car payment, taxes and insurance, she was clearing 39 dollars a week. Wouldn’t your family be more fruitful and satisfied if mom or dad were able to stay home and put the family first? If you’re married, how about thinking it through and making some choices to buy that which families most enjoy... time at home together. |
