Transcript
Oil is such an essential ingredient to an engine. It keeps the moving parts lubricated and is necessary for an engine to function properly. But the oil in a relationship is forgiveness. And forgiveness starts in the home. It’s the place where parents can show what it means to apologize, and they can also show what true forgiveness is. Relationships, marriages, families - they’re not easy. Offenses can happen and feelings get hurt, much like an engine without oil can overheat, shutdown, and sometimes blow-up. A while back a couple split because of the husband's affair with another woman. Imagine the pain, and the hurt, and the possible prospects of this marriage breaking-up. But what happened was powerful. A wife who wouldn’t tolerate infidelity and didn’t consider divorce, sent a true love message, which woke him up and helped him return to his first love. Her heart forgave and their marriage healed.
