Transcript Everyday our kids are “blitzed” with messages that aren’t authentic or accurate. In football a “blitz” is a counterfeit defense designed to fool and attack. It can take the offense by surprise and throw them for a loss. But good coaching and preparation can overcome the blitz. It’s the same with our kids. The culture is blitzing them through its messages - corrosive TV, exploitive commercials and the destructive seductions of the internet. These messages influence our kids on what they should wear, which products bring happiness, and how their bodies should be shaped and used. Played out these counterfeit messages produce hangovers, broken relationships, even credit card debt while destroying self-esteem. Parents, are you equipping your kids to discern the counterfeit messages in media?
