Transcript In 1991 I was with the Philadelphia Eagles as a back-up QB. That meant my job was to know the game plan and be ready to play at any time. Inside the raucous Astrodome, trailing the Oilers 10-6 in the second half, I was put in the game. Facing a third down, a “blitzing down” late in the game, my team had an opportunity to score. As I dropped back to pass, a blitzing defensive back charged right at me. Knowing my tight end would go to the spot where the safety vacated, with total blind faith I threw the football to a spot I envisioned. Knocked immediately to the ground, I heard the crowd go quiet as we scored a touchdown. What got us to victory wasn’t sight or blind faith, it was vision - vision from preparation and practice. Vision is a picture of your future that helps you commit to the way you want to live your life... for the kind of marriage or family you’re aiming for. |
