Transcript We’ve been looking this week at a study on the huge number of marital break-ups and the discovery that divorce is having a tremendously negative community and economic impact. Research is also confirming that some people have better marriages and less break-ups than others. Is it where they're from or how much they spend? Is it what they eat? No! It’s people who prepare. Eighty percent of couples that get involved in pre-marriage education and counseling during their engagement find it helpful in their marriage. And research indicates they are less likely to divorce. There’s also a test that a couple can take that shows couples if they are not ready or right for each other. Since the decision to marry ranks at the top of the "big decisions in life" chart, doesn’t it make sense to learn a little about marriage skills and each other, before you say "I do?"
