Transcript
After Oklahoma was ranked second in the country for its rate of divorces, the Governor, Frank Keating, declared "a state of marital emergency." So Keating hired some top marriage researchers and friends from here in our state, Drs. Les and Leslie Parrot. They teach a seminar available on video called "Saving your marriage before it starts." This research shows that the high incidence of divorce can be avoided and the community consequences avoided. Isn’t it time for us to bring the community together to generate support for marriages and families? At Families Northwest we are working to organize a team effort in our state; to get marriage off to a good start with counseling and resources to grow and succeed and avoid divorce. Do you know a couple that plans to marry that can benefit from some pre-marital education?
