There's an old proverb that says "the wisest person counts the cost before building a structure." Well a modern version could be that a wise couple considers the commitment before building a marriage. Family Psychologist David Olson and his wife developed a marriage relationship questionnaire to help couples be wise and informed and prepared before they enter life's great journey of marriage. The "Prepare Test" for engaged couples is an excellent tool that today's engaged couples can use for the best possible marriage. But the second benefit is that 10 to 15 percent of the couples that take the test discover that they’re either not ready for marriage, or the person they idealized as the one to marry was not the person they should marry. In other words, those couples decided not to marry and probably prevented the likely pain of a future divorce.
