Transcript A contest to choose the cover of a magazine was held last year with some surprising results. Different faces of women were laid out for the readers to choose, but in the end what was chosen was a computer-generated picture. Demonstrated on a national TV news program, this face of a woman was an edited-assembled portrait beyond reality. Here’s the question: is life lived on the surface or on the inside? Are we souls or just skin? Ask any person and they’ll tell you they want to be loved for who they are, not for what they look like! When all humans get honest the bottom line is relationship and unconditional love. The kind that’s relationship-based, not appearance-based. Unconditional love like that is value enhancing, not performance or appearance-based. It’s commitment, not consumption. This kind of unconditional love can save a teenage daughter, solidify a shaky marriage, even realign a wayward, rebellious son.
