Transcript Several close-ups of Tampa Bay coach John Gruden on the field during the 2003 playoffs portrayed a maniacally intense football coach. But in a family crisis, team member Joe Jurevicius saw a very different side of the World Champion coach. On the road to the Super Bowl, Joe’s son Michael was born pre-mature with a serious lung problem. Days before the NFC Championship game, Jurevicius said he was torn and tormented and had to leave the team to be with the most important people in his life... his wife and his very ill newborn son. Huddled in his office, Gruden told Joe he was going to have the greatest week of his life - that he was going to be at the hospital and watch his son get better. Joe did just that - missed practice, showed up at the game and caught a key 71-yard pass. In that meeting, Gruden showed a true sense of greatness - giving another person the vision and freedom to love his family more than his job.
