Transcript Time is one of the most precious things there is and yet it seems to fly by so fast, especially for moms who try to get so much done throughout the day. Author Bill Doherty says there’s great value in setting a bedtime and being with your kids. Doherty says there are three great benefits. First, and most important, whether it be reading, praying, or discussing how the day went, it creates a unique bond between parent and child. Secondly, your kids will get enough sleep, which they really need. And thirdly, it gives parents some down time to reconnect and recharge. Private time at bedtime is some of the most valuable investments parents can make. Susan Holbroke knows how important this is. As a mother of two boys, Susan makes a point to spend time with her boys by attending their games and by reading to them each night. For Susan this is a challenge! She works full time, she’s in school during the week pursuing her Master’s degree and she’s a single mom. Of all our appointments shouldn’t we parents make this one the most important of the day. |
