Transcript Mel Gibson�s new movie "The Passion" is quite an exception coming from Hollywood. His 22-year marriage is also exceptional in the world of Hollywood relationships. In a fascinating quote Gibson said, "Women have a great capacity for love, more than guys do. I�m often astounded," he said, "by what my wife is able to understand that I�m just figuring out." Marriage expert Gary Smalley closes the loop for us men; he calls it the built-in relationship monitor and she�s right there in your family - your wife! Here�s Smalley�s key: occasionally ask your wife, "on a scale of 1-to-10, how would you rate our marriage?" Next, accept her rating, even if you�d rate it two or three points higher. Then ask, "what will it take to improve our relationship and move it closer to a 10?" The smartest guy will accept her ideas and go to work putting them into practice. We all need good relationships.
