Transcript Eric: Two and a half years ago, New Zealander Clint Hallam was the recipient of the worlds first hand transplant. But tragically that hand had to be amputated a few weeks ago. Jeff Kemps the director of Families Northwest.
Jeff: And that news story, Eric, went on to say that the gentleman lost his transplanted hand, sadly, because of neglect. Hallam lost this miraculous medical gift because he failed to strengthen and guard the health of his hand. The thought comes to mind, what about our high priorities, like the health of our marriages? We need to be following the plan that we willingly vowed to our spouses - to cherish, honor, and lovingly uphold our mates. Family expert Gary Smalley says one of the best things couples can do is regularly ask "on a scale of 1 to 10, how's our relationship?" And "what can we do to move it up on that scale, closer to a 10?" Talking, spending more time together, and even getting help from the many resources that are out there, are great ways to strengthen and make sure that the health of our marriages won't be neglected.
